We have similiar believes in Azerbaijan. Also people in Turkey have such thoghts. And to be honest, as a doctor, I think there is certain truth in this.
Normal Italian: This is scary Lionfield: Get the cross Italian mafia: Someone is going to die
I am from california and have lived far too long in Italy (23 years in Milan) and this is the one thing that I just cannot stand about my Italian people. They push their weaknesses onto you (wearing a sleeveless dress in December, coming to work with wet hair "I would get so sick if i did that! I would get torcicollo if I did that!!!!" Response: then don't do it. I was so lucky to have a mom that had us take cold showers at the end of our shower, always have the windows open in the bedroom at night, never spoke of wet hair, nor spoke of drafts (we referred to this as good ventilation, i think). I have never had a sick day in my 65 years, except during my 2 knee surgeries. Flu is unheard of, though i have gotten colds after being subjected to viruses on 12 hour flights (because colds are exclusively caused by viruses). These behaviors are pushed and pushed on you relentlessly. and by the way, seeing a grown man hunched over in a down jacket and a scarf in 7.3°F weather in May (not yet summer - June) is so hilarious (as is the woman in her fur coat). by the way, mind your own business is a foreign concept to Italians, so be prepared to hear this endless drivel on a daily basis. Yes, I like Italians.
Enough to make Italians have nightmares
All true. However, you forgot two other very important Italian hazards: la cervicale e il colpo d'aria (hit of air)! 😂
Watching this video has made me realize that italian men are exactly my type, thanks
Left kiss cheek surely.
I’m not Italian, but I have had (several times) strangers come up to me speaking in Italian (I don’t look Italian, I’m sure) - something I was doing in an Italian manner? 🤔
I love watermelons and love you to Marco 💋 and Alan
Ya Italians drink tiny cups of coffee very quickly like it's a nasty medicine. Also cos it tastes like that. Burned beans ugh.
Riva Cucina is no more. 😭
Best coffee video I've seen to date. Grazie mille! :)
Yea growing up in NY a suburb of Italy, as an Italian American, can relate.
Love it , garcias !!
Wow. Okay. I want to visit Italy. Neapolitan pizza is my favorite pizza. And I love those little espresso cups of coffee as well. 😁😁😁
I don't measure when I cook either, was only a problem when someone asked me for my recipes. My mom used to make risotto but never taught me how. So I am here because my grandmother and great grandparents are gone.
Pizza is not even italian, its also an american invention
💚🤍❤️
As I sit here listening to this it is 100° in Florida. I was outside in the garden and started sweating. When I came inside to the AC house (mind you it is 78° in the house) I am freezing and my neck and lower back started to ache. lol Sempre per me! I quickly took a hot shower and dried off, dressed warm and put a towel around my neck, took vitamin C, echinacea and lots of liquids. This happened 2 days ago and I wound up in bed all day. My father and my son are the same way. I always say," it is an Italian thing", but a lot of Greek people (my dad is Greek & Italian too)experience the cold on the neck or lower back as being deadly. My mom is FBI from Pignataro. Never happens to her! IDK perche? Thank-you for this. It makes perfect sense to those of us who are "afflicted with cold air".
Bravo Marco Bellissimo xoxo
I love ya Marco your always a good time
muncho gracias
Marco you are handsome boo god bless you and tour damily
Looks so yummy love ya Marco
Marco love your hair bello i love Alan as well both are to cute love you both
Omg love it
I love you Marco the videos come out perfecto xoxo
SIMPATICISSIMO
Of course, Italians break every single one of these rules on a regular basis. Cheese with fish? Never done, except when they do. Fruit on pizza? Horrors! Except for pears. Pear and prosciutto is one of the more popular combinations. Why pear and not pineapple? Because, that's why! Bread at the table with no condiments? Yes, except that there is this wonderful tomato spread made with tomato, olive oil, and breadcrumbs (along with some secret ingredient that if they told you, well, you know...) No thick crust pizza? Well, okay. I'll just have a couple of pieces of this wonderful focaccia with tomato, cheese, and sausage. Or maybe the one with tomato, cheese, sausage and pineapple, since it's not pizza.
you have the hat on to hide the greasy hair..????
Bellisiomo amore. Grazie
I'll take note. BTW, Italians need to learn some rules too- When GIs land in your airport, tell the stinkin' police chief to allow them to get off the plane to stretch! 2) Don't chicken out and leave the war zone because the muzzies threaten your country! 3) When someone is in terrible distress on Mt. Everest, don't pretend you don't know English and leave them!
The last one is to do with swimming safety. If you swim immediately after eating a full meal you have a higher chance of getting stomach cramps, which can cause drowning.
Italy and the Italians are the best
I don’t understand the whistling when there’s the black and white photo of the newlyweds at the beginning
Bel clip: bravissimo
I am German my wife is Italian and we live in Italy. My wife puts some drops of good olive oil onto the bread. And a Pizza comes not without olio picante
They are so logical! Self explanatory! Swedish here,I get almost all, love that we can use the same expressions! Some new ones I learned though 😁
eating pasta as a past time activity
I don't put cream in my carbonara, and I even use pig cheek, when I can find it, but I do put garlic. What can I say, I love garlic. I was listening to an audiobook version of the Saga of the Volsungs. And one of the characters was introduced with "she was better than all other women in the same way that garlic is better than all other plants." I felt that...
When I was a kid (USA) I was told not to swim within 30 minutes after a meal because I'd get cramps and drown. My grandparents were the main driving force of this prohibition and they believed it zealously. My parents seemed more wishy washy about it but they didn't seem skeptical enough to challenge my grandparents.
8 years late... 4:40 You should start doing ASMR. That part was genuinely tingly
Hahaha, Sign Language in Australia for some of these gestures. I must be of mixed Italian descent because some of those gestures aren't the same gestures I use. Some of your gestures are modern and sayings of old gestures or it might be because all the regions have their own gestures for different things. I am a lot older than you so maybe I have the old ways and maybe that's why my gestures for certain words are different. lol Do Italians still do the Hand Biting gesture?
Spaghetti with meatballs is an american/italian recipe because is a southern italian recipe! My father is from calabria and we (in italy, never been in USA) have always eaten spaghetti with meatballs (small meatballs) at home and in Calabria, during summer holidays!
